Welcome to Our Farm

Greenhouse Garden Center

Here on the farm we have always had greenhouses, historically they were filed with tomato transplants that were grown for the canning factories, but now are bursting with colour every spring. We still have a large greenhouse where we start vegetable transplants for ourselves and other farms but also grow bedding plants that are for sale every spring starting on mothers day weekend in May. We have a wide variety of annual and perennial flowers, hanging baskets and planters, as well as vegetables and herb plants for all your home gardening needs.

Dahlia Tubers

One of our main cut flower crops is dahlias, and every fall the tubers we grow get dug stored and divided and are ready for sale in the spring.  we grow a huge assortment of dahlia varieties from giant dinner plates down to dainty compact ball types and everything in between.

Spend half a day exploring Cashew Ridge Park by foot. This trek is an excellent choice if you don’t have time for a full-day or overnight trip. The early morning tour starts early enough to enjoy the sounds of the forest waking up. The afternoon tour finishes at dusk, so you can enjoy the quiet calm of the nighttime forest. Bring your own food and water. As your tour guide, I’ll help you disconnect from your everyday world, so you can immerse yourself in nature and reconnect with yourself.

In our greenhouse we start many
different types of plants, including:
Peppers, Tomatoes, Melons, Zucchini, Pumpkins, Herbs, Eggplant, Cabbage, Head Lettuce, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Squash
Not all vegetables need to be started
in a greenhouse, we also sell:
Peas, Beans and Beets that we seed right
into the ground!
The Pepper King
We love to grow unique varieties of vegetables and Matt has the nickname in the local area as “The Pepper King”. We grow approximately 60 varieties of peppers form the sweetest to the hottest. We also grow around 70 varieties of heirloom tomatoes along with a other vegetables that are uniquely coloured, shaped and heirloom varieties where available.

Cut Flowers

We also start cut flowers in our greenhouse that will be planted outside and later made into bouquets that we will sell at our market stalls. We grow a wide arrange of cut flowers but we really like to focus on our dahlias! We are always growing and expanding our dahlia varieties from small compact pompom dahlias to dinner plate size with ruffled petals and everything in between.
